Up until recently I was always a person who preferred to drive rather than walk. Driving a golf cart was easy, and got me where I wanted to go fast. A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to go golfing, but I had just enough money for the game and not the golf cart rental. I was in a dilemma. I had to either save my golfing trip for a later date or march the 18 holes of the course. I eventually gave into my love for the game, and set out on my journey. To my surprise walking the course wasn’t all that bad. By walking I was able to become more relaxed as I approached each hole, and I swung with more confidence than ever before. At the end of the day I had shot one of my best games and I felt great.
Walking golf is something that I feel every golf course should allow. I believe that the walk from hole to hole can be beneficial in both strengthening your game, and providing great exercise, not to mention the fact that you don’t have to pay for a golf cart.
