I’m a long hitter and if I was consistent I could probably drop my handicap to nothing. Long: good, long and wild: not.
So we were playing a residential golf course last week and one of my tee shots disappeared over the trees lining the fairway and towards the houses. The 4 of us all held our breath to listen for the sound of broken glass or a cracked roof tile or even worse, the sound of an unconscious body thumping to the ground. We heard nothing, so I hit again (290 down the center thanksverymuch) and off we went. Fortunately the houses in this neighborhood have some space in between, and that’s where my new Titleist Pro V1 ended up.
I got lucky.
